Summer Camps

EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION ENDS MARCH 15!

Travel through time during a jam-packed week as dancers learn how age-old African dance has influenced dance throughout history, even into today’s Hip Hop. Connections will be made throughout the week regarding how each one of these dances-African,
Latin, Social Dance, Harlem Renaissance and Hip Hop-emerged from one another. Each 3-hour day has a new focus where dancers will be immersed in the day’s dance style. By the end of each day, dancers will have an understanding of the movement and history of each style and will learn a dance piece to be performed on the final day of camp.

Both Fridays will consist of a discussion with the artists, warm-up and practice time, and will culminate in an informal performance. Parents, family, and friends are all invited to attend the performance.
